DHC Youth
We engage in two special ministries with our children and youth:
VBS & Camp.
- VBS is a time when kids from 4 years up through 5th grade explore how God's love is present in their lives. With the careful aid of older youth and oversight of joyful adults, each year for one week, our church is transformed and blessed by the kids. They present their learnings on Sunday morning and it is the highlight for the year for many people. It is a time, of profound thoughts, silly skits, and joyful music.
- Camp takes place for a week in the summer. At camp, kids are grouped by age and explore how God is revealed today. Set in the cool of the mountains, the outdoor setting brings kids and adults to a deeper awareness of God in nature and in each person's life. Church camp is a life-changing experience.
September Youth
CCF (2nd - 5th) will meet on third Sundays beginning with September 19th at FCC, Mesa.
Chi-Rho (6th - 8th) will meet this Sunday, August 29th at 1 pm at FCC. Then will meet on the 1st and 3rd Sundays at 1 pm at FCC (not Labor Day weekend) after that.
CYF (9th - 12th) will meet on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Sundays of the month = September 5, 12, 19 at 1 pm at FCC.
Regional Youth Retreats = October 30-31 in Tucson area; February 12-13, 2011 in Mesa area.
